Visions of Perfection

I want to tell you a story. I want to show you a world. And I want you to believe every word of it,
Shannon and Lilly have one of the most pure and poignant relationships the world has ever known. Because they make it through every upheaval shining. They hold onto each other. They breathe, and laugh for each other, they smile for each other, they cry for each other. And it gives me hope. It gives me faith and gives me belief. Ina  world of pain, and suffering, and broken promises, they have each other to hold and heal. Its almost magical. Because I see it.
I can see them moving into a little flat right in the middle of London. I can see them tangled in each other around the sofa watching old reruns of Doctor Who, boxes all around. And its small, but its vibrant, and special, and its theirs. Will it be easy? Of course not, what is? But they'll get through it.
And on the nights when they struggle to stay strong, they'll have each other as a raft, to tether each other to sanity. Because they will heal, and they will laugh. Together. Always Together. And nothing, not them, nor those around them will tear them apart.
I know Lilly will get her dream job, her at the BBC, badass as usual. Just like I know for certain Shannon will write an amazing novel. Perhaps I know even more assuredly that no one will believe in them more than they do each other. And they will follow each other to the ends of the earth, they will be so very happy.
I can see Shannon's proposal. Very simple, but beautiful all the same. Nothing extravagant, maybe on the beach one day gazing out at a winter's sea she'll simply take Lilly's hand and say "I want to be like this forever. With you. Marry me?" And they'll laugh, they'll kiss and it'll be perfect. Because they are.
Then, when they bring home a little girl, everything will point towards that happy ending they so deserve. I can see her, an angelic little thing bursting with happiness and full of love. Secure in herself and her adoration for her parents. With two beautiful mothers to hold and cherish her just as they do each other. They'll be a quaint, beautiful, perfect, loving family.
And I can see it. It's flawless, it's vivid, it's pure, it's perfect, it's real. It's love. It's Shannon and Lilly. x
